FBRN's FUNDRAISING 12 Days of Frenchies Howliday Fundraiser!

If you've resisted joining Facebook, this might be the time!

Starting December 1st we are hosting a "12 Days of Frenchies Howliday Fundraiser" featuring some of our most pawsome products, our favorite shops like Bad Tags and Olive & Co, and also new products from FBRN that you've never seen before! Each of the Frenchie loving companies that have partnered with us will be donating a whopping 40-60% of their sales to support the foster frenchies in need this December, and 100% of the proceeds from our own products will benefit the fosters. The catch? These fundraisers are each for one day only and some of them have limited quantities available!
For the next 12 days we will provide special links to each of these fundraisers in the morning. Only purchases made on the designated days will benefit FBRN with the percentage noted. And for the aluminum ornaments and Tervis Tumblers, we will stagger the release of product quantities to ensure that each time zone has a fair chance to order.

That's the astounding FBRN grad, the surfing sensation Cherie the Surf Dog, who took surf lessons to compete in the Surf-a-Thon and raised one bajillion bikkits for the Helen Woodward Animal Center! She just can't quit helping dogs in need, and now she's going to be assisting at the 2nd Animal--oops!--Annual Reindeer Romp!

The Frog Who Shot Liberty Valance

Pilgrim has made his made his way to Shinbone--sorry--FBRN to learn his way around the West.  His former family, members of the sandwich generation who find themselves caring for both infants and elderly parents, decided 6-year-old Pilgrim could do with a home where he got a bit more attention.



So he traveled out West where he's meeting the local townsfolk in his foster home, just a bit at a time.  One of the residents, a bullmastiff, might be a troublesome sort or he might be the kind of feller who could teach a frog a thing or two.  Hard to know until the slow introductions are complete.  Will he be Doniphon or will he be Valance?  Pilgrim will figger it out, given some time.

We do know he's likely to be a popular dog among our supporters and applicants.  We know he's smart and energetic and he's given to following his principles.  He's learning the ways of his foster home and getting some allergy tests before he and Bullmastiff meet on Main Street.  In the meanwhile, his strength will be tested when he visits the vet for a bit of a snippage.

Until then, we among the FBRN volunteers are trying to decide who's cuter:  Pilgrim or Jimmy Stewart?

Mags Would Like to Take This Opportunity

to remind you that Hallowe'en is on the horizon.  It's coming up very quickly.  You should be thinking about your decorations, your candy selections, and, of course, the dog treats you plan to dispense.

Mags is sincerely hoping you don't count yourself among those who go out and buy and then--either surreptitiously or during a single all-out snarfage--eat whole bags of candy before the day arrives without even *considering* the treat needs of your best friends.  She'd be delighted to suggest some treats to keep on hand, but Mags will tell you flat out that you will be that mom--you will be able to hold your head up among the full-size candy bar moms--if you show up at the door with Munchkins from Dunkin' Donuts.  

Now lookit that photo.  Lookit that face!  Isn't that the kind of happiness you want to see on Hallowe'en when all the little frog goblins come to the door?

Petrie's Perking Up

When Petrie first came to us, he was not good with other dogs and he needed work on his leash manners.  Since then, after very slow introductions, he has become tight with the frog girls in his foster home.  His manners are much improved, and though he still makes use of those powerful back legs to jump up in the air to peek out the front door window to see who is ringing the bell, he's a greatly changed dog!

Petrie has those long gazelle legs, and he has a wonderful underbite, one that Mary Ann, Mike Mulligan's steam shovel, would envy! 

He's a snuggling fool and he's looking for a happy family with experience dealing with a dog who is used to having his way (if you have dogs) or he'd love to be an only!  Check out Petrie's page and see if you could see him and his shiny little lip cuddled up on your couch.
