You Don't Have to Put on the Red Light!

Who could have guessed such a red-hot, good lookin' Frenchie girl was under all that pitifulness when she first came to us? This is Roxanne, who touched the hearts of so many of our volunteers and supporters when she appeared on the front page of our website last March. (All right, we both know you want to. Sing it with me, now, and get it out of your system: "Raaawkssanne!" OK, that's enough.) Sting is right about one thing: the ugly days of her early life are over. You can see how poor Roxanne looked before she came to us and read more of her story on the FBRN foster dogs page. You simply won't be able to believe this is the same dog. Thanks to her sponsors and foster family, Roxanne is safe and getting healthier every day.

We don't know how long it will be before Roxanne is ready to go on the Available Dogs list. Unlike some rescues that are so swamped with dogs they must place the animals as soon as possible, we have the luxury of making sure our Frenchies are healthy, temperamentally sound, and ready for their new lives before we make them available for adoption. We appreciate the patience of our would-be adopters and the dedication of our foster families as we work to do what's in the best interests of our foster dogs.

Sharp-eyed FBRN supporters might recognize another cutie from the ranks of our foster dogs: The blonde on the right, that's she, that's Chablis. A Frenchie of a certain age, but nonetheless appealing and with a charm and beauty to rival even that of
The Frog Princess

Oh my goodness! I never would have recognized her! She's transformed herself into an entirely different dog!
